Oasis
They are waiting for me
Somewhere far away
In the immeasurable distance
of space and time
They are waiting for me
Glistening pools
the color of emeralds, sapphires, dawns and sunsets
Calm and Cool
Inviting and Serene
They are waiting for me
and someday
even farther away
when I find my way through
I will lay down beside them
I will feel their warm and perfect waters
playing in my toes and creeping playfully up my legs
I will immerse myself in the mesmerizing silence
hearing only their low gentle lapping sounds
I will finally and peacefully fall, resting on their safe shores.
