To have been the antithesis of these things

can be what it takes to truly know you want them

And I truly know....

Sudden change of Scene
An awakening
unexpected and welcome
A new day dawning

Feeling alive again
Senses are keen
warm and aware
touching and breathing

Mind bright and soul on fire
Heart glowing with love once more
A love for life
Thriving and free

Hope is restored
and peace is nearby
quitely there to comfort and soothe
My beautiful garden is waiting.

Bandaid

Rip it off

Quickly, before its too late

This wound is trying to heal

and needs air

Feel the sharp sting

The adhesive tears from the skin

once needed to stay intact

no longer serves its purpose

D0 it quickly

It hurts worse if you peel it slowly

like a child you don't believe me

there is that fear of the pain

trust me

it was comfortable there

for a while

safe and protecting the wound

but now the wound is rotting underneath

the suffocating layers

Tear it away

Let the wound breath Dammit

It needs to breath

to be exposed

It will only be a second

Go ahead and cry

savor the saltiness

Healing tears

Feel the sting

as they fall on the wound

Where are the answers to these questions?

I have not looked far enough yet,

that much I know,

to give in to a life bound by doubt and queries

Something in me tells me there is more

More, or maybe less....huh, now there's a thought....

This is not good enough for me

This existence driven by vain pursuit

of something

But where to start?

What do i strip away first

to get to the root

the heart

the essence

the truth

What happens when it feels done

like an over boiled potato....

falling apart and disintegrating....

meal, bland, and worst of all....

waterlogged!

Full of too much of a good thing and made useless.

Maybe I should end this poem now

Its moving into something about a root vegetable

is a potato actually a root vegetable?

Ah, back to that....

Are you thirsty for her intense and cool waters?

If you seek her you will find her

She is there

Hiding in the crevices of The Rock

There, in the shade of The Glory

There, a piece, in the corner of your heart

A gift from the One who made you.

To see a glimpse of her face,

will end your lonely searching

To hear a note of her song,

will soothe your most intense longings

To have even a taste of her fruits,

will satisfy your deepest hunger.
